We are a business dedicated to providing natural vanilla in extract, beans, and powder.

Our Story

Ayan's story begins several decades ago when empowered women dedicated themselves to agriculture in the province of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas and Los Ríos.

These women faced significant challenges in the sector. Very few had access to decent work. In response to this reality, they began raising awareness in society and promoting initiatives that would provide fair job opportunities for other women.

Ayan is a social enterprise aimed at promoting labor equity in the Ecuadorian countryside while fostering cultural integration within local communities.

Through thorough research, we have established direct relationships with women from various communities in the region, who collaborate on Ayan’s farms.

Among these communities is the Tsáchilas, who, through various meetings, have shared valuable lessons about the fundamental role of women in their societies and their cultural richness, expressed in their dialect.

These collaborations have been key to the development and growth of Ayan, always focused on equity and respect for cultural diversity.

Why vanilla ?

Vanilla is one of the finest orchids in the international market. After several studies, we associate it with the strength of a woman thriving in a harsh environment like the Ecuadorian countryside.

Its flavor and texture are of professional standards and global high quality. Our vanilla offers a unique and cultural quality.
